Absenteeism rate calculator
Calculate the share of scheduled workdays lost to absences in a period, in seconds.
How is absenteeism calculated?
The absenteeism rate is the percentage of scheduled workdays not worked due to unplanned absences. Divide lost days by scheduled days (employees × workdays) and multiply by 100.
Example: 45 lost days ÷ (100 employees × 22 days) × 100 = 2.05%. Agree on which absences count (no-shows, sick leave, unpaid leave) and keep the same criteria to compare periods.
How to reduce absenteeism
Break it down by site, shift and weekday to find patterns; Mondays and night shifts often concentrate absences.
With Alobri Time, facial and geofenced clock-ins feed the metric with no manual entry, and People Analytics shows it by area.
