42-hour maximum workweek since July 2026
Law 2101 of 2021 completed the reduction to 42 hours on July 15, 2026; hours can be spread over five or six days without cutting pay.
Night work starts at 7:00 p.m.
Under Law 2466 of 2025, daytime runs from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and later hours earn a night premium.
Overtime records
Employers must keep a per-employee record with name, activity, overtime hours and whether they were day or night hours.
Rising Sunday and holiday premium
The premium for Sunday and holiday work increases in stages, with the transition ending in July 2027.
